Care of Ourselves, Each Other & The World

Essentials Field Notes: Week Two
We had another incredible day at Forest School last week. We eased back into play and each learner hit their stride early on.
Some made fairy villages, others worked on their dens, while others enjoyed water play and exploring and contemplating our nature museum. We even found and examined a box turtle!
We learned more about boundaries and empathy, as learners navigated roles weaving in and out of each other’s worlds and what it means to respect each other’s play and creations. We will continue to curiously dive deeper into these areas to explore how best to take care of ourselves, each other and the greater world around us. We’ll do this by drawing from play experiences and asking questions, all while providing a space of safety and trust.
