Meet our Lead Forest Fairy, Stacey!
Our most magical Forest School Leader: Stacey Robinson (nature name: Evergreen) grew up in North Jersey on the foothills of the Ramapo Mountains. Before heading to college, she went on her first camping trip in the Wind River Wilderness of Wyoming with NOLS. She graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Environmental Policy, Institutions, and Behavior with a minor in Public Health. Post college, she trained assistance dogs for Canine Companions for Independence and eventually left to become a mom to two kiddos and two dogs. Stacey was a Tinkergarten Leader in Mt. Sinai for 5 seasons and is currently finishing up her certification as a Level 3 Forest School Practicioner from Huathe in England. She is also Outdoor First Aid certified.
What is Stacey most excited about in regards to Forest School and most eager to offer learners?
“I’m most excited about seeing where the learners take the program and where their interests lie. Since Forest School is learner led, we can prepare, read and practice but it’s ultimately up to them. I’m so excited for them to take me on THEIR journey.”
